   Dr. Joanne Daniloff, an associate professor of veterinary medicine at Louisana State University in Baton Rouge, wrote this letter from her lab on February 15,1994.
   "In 1994   I will celebrate my seventh year of surviving one of the most rapidly growing  and untreatable cancers: <a href="http://www.ngen.com/hs-cancer/article05.html">glioblastoma multiforme</a> (grade IV).
   Despite surgical removal of most of my tumor, a local physician gave me a scientific article that showed no survival from this disease beyond 18 weeks, regardless of treatment."
